Work Food

Inspired by a story about a person at Google eating fried chicken wrapped in a piece of pizza, I decide to start documenting my own culinary exploits in our work kitchen. Armed only with basic cutlery, blunt knives, a microwave and sandwich press I have created and copied some basic recipes which get me through the work day.

The first is the humble old Spider or Ice Cream Soda.
Ingredients:
  • 1 can of Coke
  • 1 big scoop of ice cream
  • 1 large glass
  • 1 spoon
Method:
Place scoop of ice cream in glass, poor on Coke until froth reaches the top. Drink until there is space to pour in more coke, repeat. You can use the spoon to eat the froth.

This makes a light brown, frothy beverage with the advantage of high sugar content plus caffeine. A great pick-me-up in the afternoon when your feeling low after lunch. If you leave it the froth gets more dense and I have seen the colouring come out of the Coke.
